New to the Cape

I have been here on Cape Cod for a little over a week, and my foster mommy seems to
think that I am adjusting wonderfully.

The first few days, while I was still recovering from my heartworm
treatment, I was quite subdued and I got to rest. By the end of my first week, I
started getting my energy back, and finally got to play with my new foster sisters. I love my new sisters.. They're a lot of fun! My foster mom says that she is happy to report that I have not learned to dig in the yard, even when the girls making a mess I have not joined them.
My foster mom also says that I am house broken... though I am not sure what that means.. but since I have been on the cape I have had NO accidents..

I am not crazy about being in the crate when my foster mom leaves. I sometimes cry and bark for a few minutes. My foster mom says that I am getting much better about it now that I know she won't leave me alone forever.
I also get to sleep in a the bedroom with my foster family and I really like it in there.

** A note from Sparky's foster mom** " Sparky has a lovely personality. He's a big love bug and loves to climb up in your lap for a big snuggle. He also likes the dog toys and plays with them all the time.

Sometimes, he gets a little too excited about food (people and dog food),
but is getting better. They all come in in the morning, and that is the time
that they all sit nicely and do "how do you do" (a/k/a shake) for their
treat.

When it's wet and I want to wipe everybody's feet when they come in, he
thinks that is a signal for tug of war with the towel. It's really funny,
but I'm trying.

He is fine in the car. I tested that yesterday. After the vet (more
barking), I made a stop and left him in the car, looking out every five
minutes to check on him. He just sat there and looked out waiting for me to
come back.

He's really a good boy, and with a few manners, will be a great boy.

We're still coughing a bit, but I guess that will work itself out in time.

I love him!"

Out of the Shelter

My greatest wish is to find my speial people who will love me, spoil me, and let me have fun.

My owners had to surrendered me 'cuz I was too much dog for them to handle. As you can see I am a big puppy. I am a whole whopping 1 year old, full of life and puppy energy. I am the perfect age to learn new tricks and commands.

Don't you think I have a charming way about me? Most people who meet me think I am the cutest boy.. While I was in my temporary foster home I got bathed and vaccinated I was even treated for those icky heart worms. I am the now the cutest healthiest boy in town!
